Location. It was walking distance to the theatre that we attended in the evening. It was nice not having to find a parking spot at the theatre.
The hotel offered a light breakfast in the morning ~ 7am until 9am. We slept until 8:30am and felt we had to rush. So 7am until 10am would be better. "Coffee, fruit and muffins" is posted. Only apples were available that morning. The yogurt was dated June 30 on July 10th. The muffins were good, however, were uncovered. This isn't too "clean" if anyone had sneezed or coughed in that vacinity.
I liked the location of the hotel because it allowed me to walk around the town and enjoy the shopping and scenery.
Room was lovely and clean. Manager was very good and made you feel at home.
Inn on the bay is not true construction work on going in town 500mtrs to bay in town centre at a major 5 road junction shabby and smally would not recommend to anybody
The room was neat, tidy and the hotel was quite.
I would have like to see a few more amenities (breakfast facilities, etc)
It was in a convenient location and there was plenty of parking.
"Breakfast" appered to consist of a bowl with two apples sitting on a cart.
Smoking Policy too close to rooms and personal property: My wife and I stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately we ran into a major problem. We were on our motorcycles and parked our bikes in front of our hotel room. Upon returing from dinner we noticed one of the staff members smoking outside at the front of the building, along with a number of other patrons staying at the hotel. To make a long story short, someone's ashes from their cigarette landed on my wife bike seat and burnt a hole through it. The cost to replace the seat is $500 repairing is not much different. We are not happy about this at all. Very costly stay at this place.
It is an older hotel that looks like it was designed to sit on a beach in Flordia. Everything about it says welcome back to the 1970s. Having said that, however, the staff, cleanliness, real balcony, windows that open, and placement on Main Street are all outstanding. Particularly for a business traveller who is not fussed about faddy fitness clubs, it is a great value.
Their restaurant keeps limited hours and is isolated on the fourth floor (which really doesn't have much of a view). The restaurants on Main Street - especially Le Bon Marche - were much more inviting.
Convenient location, good value.
The guests beside me were very rowdy and loud, hotel staff did nothing to queit them even after several complaints.
that it had a balcony, and that the breakfast was included.
could use a little updating, but you get what you pay for.The lounge chair in our room, would be better if it wasn't in the room.
Pretty on the outside. Good location. Comfortable rooms. Nice deck. Good value for the price. Clean.
Booking was not correct: did not receive one of our reservations. Then gave us a room with a double bed when we requested queen bed. But they rectified it with no problem. There was a funny little step up into the bathroom. We kept tripping up it.
Location was decent
Very dated. Did not think it was as nice as other 3 stars. A little deceiving as it was not right on the water.
Bed very uncomfortable. Rooms very shabby. The rooms need some tender loving care. For almost the same price we had a much nicer room with a king size bed that did not sag in the middle.
Could walk to beach, lake and boat ride, marina, few shops, restaurant or two. Good buffet breakfast. Had wifi. Saw man cleaning up debris from hotel front and plants put in to make more attractive - work in progress ! This motel has just been bought by Days Inn I believe, so improvments continuing.
No fridge or microwave. Lack of maps of area. Had room next to main entrance and everyone could see in - needed net curtain or reflective glass.
The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Parking was convenient.
My husband and daughter were dissappointed the hotel did not have a swimming pool.
